The new Hungarian wine regulation makes life easier for wine sector operators by simplifying administrative procedures and introducing the ePincek\u00f6nyv.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Hungarian wine sector provides a livelihood for tens of thousands of producers and companies on more than 65 thousand hectares.  Until now, land registers and procedures have been primarily paper-based. Reducing and simplifying the administrative burden and making it electronic was key to the efficient functioning of the sector. The Ministry of Agriculture’s ePincek\u00f6nyv project streamlines the filling in of forms, makes administration more efficient and the data help winegrowers and authorities better understand market trends. The new system, which was granted over HUF 1.2 billion in EU funding, simplifies data provision and links the various IT structures used in the sector. The system significantly simplifies the administration of vine planting, harvest registration, certificates of origin and marketing, and provides a one-stop shop for 12 administrative procedures.<\/p>\n

In the ePincek\u00f6nyv website and mobile app, information can be accessed quickly and easily. Large-scale wine producers and those with more than ten hectares of vineyards are now obliged to use electronic administration, while small producers can continue to do so in person. <\/p>\n
