With the support of the Competitive Central Hungary Operational Programme, Budapest-based Norma Instruments Zrt. has expanded its range of devices. The company’s main activity is the development and production of haematology analysers, which are mainly used to perform complete blood counts for the diagnosis of certain diseases.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Norma Instruments Zrt. manufactures the world’s smallest haematology analysers, available in around 80 countries worldwide. Within the framework of the project, a water treatment system has been acquired with which they can produce haematological solutions and reagents for their haematological cell counting analysers that are also developed and produced by the company. These are high-purity, particle-deuterated and deionised water-based chemical solutions that are used to dilute, condition and stabilise blood samples, i.e. consumables for the laboratory diagnostic instruments mentioned above. As a result of the project, a new range of so called consumables has been created, thus expanding the existing production of devices.<\/p>\n

The plastic parts of the analyser family sold earlier did not yet have injection moulding tools, and these were also made possible thanks to the grant. The company also expanded its IT equipment, making the work of the company’s development engineers easier and more efficient.<\/p>\n

The project has significantly accelerated the company’s workflow and reduced the cost of producing the devices, which has improved their competitiveness in the market.<\/p>\n

The development was implemented from EU funding in the project VEKOP-1.2.6-20-2020-01063 under the Competitive Central Hungary Operational Programme.<\/p>\n
