The Human Resource Development Operational Programme Plus, funded by the European Union, is continuously working to create better opportunities for people in disadvantaged situations.
The network of learning centres and Sure Start Children’s Houses is growing, with plans to open 40–45 new learning centres and 45–50 new children’s houses. Thanks to these initiatives, around 1,300 children will be able to join development programs. Through the Actively for Knowledge program, more than 10,000 people will also have the chance to take part in training and expand their skills.
The Opportunity for Women program, which helps women find employment, has already supported 1,000 Roma women in getting jobs. In the coming years, it will continue as part of a new Pillar project, involving another 2,200 women. This will greatly support the goals of Human Resource Development Operational Programme Plus, especially by improving job opportunities for Roma women.
The Social Plaza initiative provides funding to further develop Star Points, Star Houses, Good Places, and Presence service points in disadvantaged areas, making local services stronger and more accessible.
A new dormitory-style care program is also being launched for children whose home environment does not provide proper conditions for learning and development. In addition, a dedicated program will help reduce early school leaving among Roma girls.
These efforts show that Human Resource Development Operational Programme Plus is not only about ensuring continuity, but also about creating real opportunities for people to build a better future.
