A key step toward digital inclusion: DROP Plus pillar project launched

2026. 01. 20.

On December 17, 2025, the Digital Government Development and Project Management Ltd. (hereafter: DKF) officially presented its Digital Renewal Operational Programme Plus (DROP Plus) project at a ceremonial launch in Budapest.

The EU co-funded project, with a budget of over HUF 2 billion, will run until the end of 2027 under the DKF’s Digital Skills Development Center. The DROP Plus pillar project specifically targets Budapest residents lacking basic digital skills, directly supporting the goals of the operational program.

The initiative aims to ensure equal access to digital public services, with a focus on disadvantaged and older citizens. It offers flexible, personalized training and mentoring programs, making digital skills accessible even to those unable to participate in traditional education systems.

In the long term, the project seeks to foster an inclusive, digitally capable society, enhancing everyday life and improving employment opportunities. Through EU support, it not only delivers immediate benefits but also contributes sustainably to preventing the reproduction of digital disadvantages.
