Bock Winery’s products will be produced in a new plant with a floor area of three thousand seven hundred square metres, using the most modern grape processing units, state-of-the-art fermentation and wine treatment tanks and bottling lines, thanks to the EU support provided in the framework of the Széchenyi2020 programme. The project, implemented in the 2014-2020 financial period, has also enabled the company to expand its portfolio further, focusing on healthy food, producing grape juice and lyophilised, i.e. cold-dried fruit products.
The Bock Winery’s products are becoming increasingly popular both in Hungary and abroad, so the company decided to further develop its core business, wine production and bottling. Furthermore, the new plant, which was built with EU funding, will enable the company to offer top-quality wines of even higher prestige than before on the Hungarian and international markets.
The modern production equipment installed as part of the investment has led to significant quality improvement for the company in the reception of grape raw materials, as well as in grape processing, fermentation, wine treatment and bottling. The innovation project also included software and hardware development: a custom-built system was created to meet modern needs, including a 20-point fermentation quality control system, with carbon dioxide sensors installed on the tanks. This computerised quality control system also extends to bottling, where the bottles passing through are checked using special sensors and four measuring points.
An innovative element of the project was a lyophilisation system for producing dried fruits. The equipment has a vacuum pump and reaches operating pressure in about 20 minutes, which keeps the raw material frozen.
The Bock Winery has long sought to expand its range of quality products to appeal not only to the taste buds of adults who consume wine but also to those of children and adults not consuming alcohol. As part of the project implemented in the 2014-2020 EU period, new technologies have been procured to meet customer needs.
