2025. 04. 03.

The schools of Imrehegy, Kömpöc, Kiskunhalas, and Harta are set to undergo modernization with the support of the Territorial and Settlement Development Operational Programme Plus. These investments aim to improve students’ learning environments, enhance the sustainability of institutions, and elevate the quality of education.

During the 2021-2027 EU development period, each member state designates strategic operations that significantly contribute to achieving the objectives of the respective program. In Hungary, these selected operations are collectively referred to as “Pillars,” emphasizing their role in development policy objectives. Two key Pillars of Territorial and Settlement Development Operational Programme Plus are the Development of Public Education Infrastructure and the Energy Renovation of Municipal Public Buildings, under which the following four projects are being implemented.

In Imrehegy, the Imrehegy Branch of the II. János Pál Catholic Primary School and Kindergarten will undergo asbestos removal, window replacements, and the installation of a modern heat pump heating and cooling system in the gymnasium. The electrical network and sanitary facilities will also be upgraded, while classrooms will receive new furniture and teaching equipment, along with IT developments providing modern digital tools. In Kömpöc, a mobile sports hall will be built in the yard of the Szent Ágoston Catholic Primary School and Kindergarten. Additionally, solar panels will be installed to increase energy efficiency. In Kiskunhalas, the Central Primary School of the Kiskunhalas Reformed College will establish a new development room dedicated to supporting disadvantaged students. A ceramic workshop will also be created, serving as a space for both academic and extracurricular activities. Further improvements will include the renovation of the gymnasium, corridors, lighting, and the school’s energy systems. In Harta, the Ráday Pál Primary School and Elementary Art School will undergo classroom and corridor renovations, while gymnasium upgrades will provide a safer environment for student athletes. The heating system will be modernized, and energy-efficient lighting and a solar panel system will be installed in the music school building.

These developments mark a significant step forward for educational institutions in Bács-Kiskun County. The infrastructure investments not only enhance the learning conditions of current students but also ensure modern and sustainable educational facilities for future generations.
