One of the Pillars of the Economic Development and Innovation Operational Programme Plus was launched to promote employment growth. The project, titled Expanding and Developing the Labour Supply, is also being carried out in Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg County. The program is being financed nationwide with approximately HUF 78.4 billion in non-repayable EU and domestic funds, of which over HUF seven billion is allocated to the county.
The goal of the Pillars (operations of strategic importance in the 2021-2027 programming period) is to increase the visibility of EU support, showing the results achieved to citizens on a wide scale. The project Expanding and Developing the Labour Supply aims to involve approximately 76,900 people across the country, including 50,000 disadvantaged job seekers and inactive individuals.
The program targets groups aged 30-64, particularly those who are disadvantaged in terms of the labour market, employers who hire them, and employees who are being prepared to exit public employment. Special attention is given to the long-term unemployed, people over 50, those with low education levels, residents of rural areas, those raising young children, Roma, people with reduced work capacity, and caregivers. Under the project, individuals receive personalised support in the form of various assistance (such as housing, travel, and wage support), and they can also participate in training.
The program is being implemented by the Ministry for National Economy, government offices, and the National Employment Public Benefit Nonprofit Ltd. (OFA) in a consortium.
The program is present in all counties, and we have reported on it multiple times.
