The completed road encourages the settlement of new businesses and promotes the strengthening of local economic activity. Considering the location of the settlement, the proximity of the M1 motorway and the county seat, such an investment can not only have a local impact but can also serve the economic strengthening of the region on a regional level and in the long term.
Domestic SMEs constitute the development potential of the Hungarian economy, yet in terms of productivity, organizational operation, human resources, and digital readiness, they still significantly lag behind their European competitors, even though they are competing with them. TorTer e-Design Ltd. is a versatile, continuously evolving company that originally specialized in building exhibition stands but has significantly expanded its activities by now. Today, interior design work, the manufacturing and rental of custom furniture, as well as event decorations and installations are also part of the portfolio. The company’s goal is to make its manufacturing processes even more efficient with modern technology and innovative tools.
The coronavirus pandemic has complicated their situation and made it clear that they need to diversify, so the management decided on a modern technological development that contributes to increasing the company’s adaptability. The Homag SWANTEQ B-200 panel dividing machine significantly increases production capacity while reducing manual labor and waste. This innovative equipment is computer-controlled, making the manufacturing processes more transparent and efficient. The use of the device opens new horizons, enabling the production of custom furniture and lighting fixtures, as well as the application of marquetry technologies.
With the commissioning of the machine, the daily capacity can increase from the previous 20 boards to 50 boards, along with a reduction in production time and costs. The project not only increases the company’s competitiveness and revenue but also simplifies the workflows, making the company a more stable employer. The capacity expansion is expected to result in the creation of new jobs, thereby strengthening the company’s long-term market position and sustainable development.
The development was implemented from EU funding in the project VEKOP-1.2.6-20-2020-00894 under the Competitive Central Hungary Operational Programme.
