The Youth Guarantee Plus pillar has made psychological counselling available at the Komárom-Esztergom County Government Office for NEET youth under 30 who are not working or studying, starting from 2025. This will support them in their easier integration into the world of education and work.
The operations of strategic importance (OSI) in the 2021-27 programming period, also known as Pillars, will provide higher visibility of EU support by showcasing the achieved results to citizens. Every operational program in the 2021-27 programming period has its own Pillars, including the Youth Guarantee Program Plus, which is one of the most significant Pillars of the EDIOP Plus. With a budget of HUF 200 billion, the program is designed to help young people aged 15-30 gain employment, work experience, or marketable skills.
The Youth Guarantee Plus programme has already made individual and group counselling sessions available. The current pilot programme is an excellent additional opportunity to provide a much more personalised, individual-focused service to young people, enabling them to achieve their set goals with even greater success. The consortium partner is The National Employment Public Benefit Nonprofit Limited Liability Company (OFA) who provides the psychological service, which is currently operational in three counties, including Komárom-Esztergom.
It is clear that professional knowledge and experience alone are often not enough for long-term employment, especially when there are underlying factors such as lack of self-confidence, feelings of helplessness, or other psychological issues.The young people taking part will begin a one-hour, individual session, which we are expecting to be a constructive process. By working on their individual abilities and setting their own goals, we firmly believe that they will be able to achieve a successful and lasting job placement or even obtain a new qualification, which has the added benefit of making them more competitive in the job market.
The goal is to introduce and make this psychological service available throughout the entire country. After the end of the pilot period, OFA specialists will modify and refine the details of the new counseling format as necessary, based on experiences, feedback, and its integration into daily work.
