The business profile of Z Elektronika Fejlesztő, Gyártó és Kereskedelmi Kft. is the contract manufacturing of electronic products and the provision of related services to customers. The project, co-financed by the European Union and the Hungarian government under the Hungarian Multi Programme, has enabled the company to acquire a complex quality assurance system, which is important for the development and saleability of its own products.
The company operates from two sites in Pécs, one owned and one rented. The fragmentation of production caused logistical and cost management problems and was not optimal from a technological and production management point of view.
The project included the construction of a new production and warehouse hall, the purchase of modern equipment and the improvement of organisation which enable the company to serve the domestic and international markets more efficiently. The multifunctional building, which was constructed as part of the investment, is attached to the existing site and will allow to increase production efficiency and further capacity expansion.
The investment has significantly strengthened the company’s position in the market. Innovations in agriculture and medical technology have already made their successful debut on the international market at two exhibitions in Germany. Z Elektronika employed 112 people before the GINOP project, but now employs around 200, and as new developments generate new positions, the company is constantly looking for applications from electronics graduates. The expansion of the Industry 4.0 elements has further increased production efficiency and the volume of electronic component supply activity.
The developments implemented by Z Elektronika Fejlesztő, Gyártó és Kereskedelmi Kft. will significantly contribute to the achievement of the objectives of the Economic Development and Innovation Operational Programme by creating growth opportunities for SMEs and supporting their capacity expansion.
The program was implemented with European Union funding under the GINOP-1.2.7-20-2021-00005 project.
