Applications can be submitted between January 31, 2025, and March 4, 2025, for the call under the Digital Renewal Operational Program Plus, which supports digital product innovation developments. Projects can receive between HUF 10 million and 35 million.
One of the objectives of the Pillars under the 2021-2027 programming period, also known as Operations of Strategic Importance (OSI), is to increase the visibility of EU funding and broadly showcase the results achieved to the public. One of the Digital Renewal Operational Program Plus Pillars is the Dedicated R&D&I and Market Entry Support Program for digital economy actors – the Digital Product Innovation Development measure.
Under this call, only micro and small enterprises can apply for non-repayable grants for digital product innovation development, acquisition of tangible assets, acquisition of intangible assets, intellectual property activities, and costs associated with percentage-based lump-sum financing. The aim of the call is to support digital product innovation and market entry projects that businesses will implement independently, have market potential, and where the likelihood of the return on investment of the support is high.
Only digital research and development projects that aim to create new software products or services through advanced digital technologies are eligible for funding. The novelty of the project must fall within one of the following areas: software development, information and communication technology (ICT) services, data processing, or telecommunications.
Advanced digital technologies are defined in line with the expectations of the European Parliament and Council regulation on the creation of the Strategic Technologies for European Platform (STEP). These are innovative, emerging, cutting-edge technologies with significant economic potential that could impact several EU markets.
