Hungary’s largest industrial exhibition, Industrial Days 2025, was held in Budapest from May 13 to 16, 2025. Visitors had the opportunity to explore the latest technological innovations, corporate trends, and a diverse range of conference programs.
The four-day event attracted over ten thousand visitors, with the Hungarian Economic Development Agency (hereinafter referred to as “the agency”) participating as an exhibitor. The agency’s involvement was part of the priority project identified by code GINOP_PLUSZ-1.1.1-22-2022-00001, titled “Provision of Targeted Business Development Services for Micro, Small, and Medium-sized Enterprises.” This project aims to provide substantial support for the growth and competitiveness of domestic SMEs. It represents one of the key pillars of Economic Development and Innovation Operational Programme Plus and encompasses several important EU-level objectives within the operational program.
The trade fair offered the agency a valuable opportunity to directly showcase its services and programs, foster new connections, and collect feedback on areas requiring development. Throughout the event, agency experts delivered presentations on a variety of relevant and timely topics, offering valuable insights especially for entrepreneurs and business stakeholders. The programs focused on forward-looking solutions such as the application of artificial intelligence in corporate environments and the integration of ESG principles (Environmental, Social, Governance) into everyday business practices. Several sessions sparked engaging discussions between visitors and agency specialists, further enriching the professional dialogue and fostering an interactive atmosphere.
The event’s success was significantly boosted by the participation of the agency’s partners, who joined the exhibition at a shared booth. This enabled demonstration plants to showcase their products and services to interested visitors, thereby increasing the visibility and market presence of domestic businesses. Additionally, the National Development Center provided consultation sessions on current Economic Development and Innovation Operational Programme Plus calls for trade fair attendees.
This collaboration not only enriched the program for visitors but also facilitated business networking, knowledge exchange, and the formation of potential future partnerships.
At Industrial Days 2025, the agency’s booth was awarded the “Most Beautiful Booth” prize by the professional jury, recognizing the most creative and high-quality exhibition display.
The project “Provision of Targeted Business Development Services for Micro, Small, and Medium-sized Enterprises” is implemented under the Széchenyi Plan Plus program, supported by the European Union, with a total budget of HUF 8 billion and a planned completion date of December 31, 2027.
