In Somogy County, two EDIOP Plus Pillars assist with labor market placement: the two programs help the working-age population find employment. On October 10, 2024, the opportunities were presented to employers and cooperating partners in Kaposvár at the opening event of the projects co-financed by the European Union.

One of the pillars of the Economic Development and Innovation Operational Program Plus (EDIOP Plus) is the nationwide “Youth Guarantee Plus.” The program, with a budget of HUF 200 billion, aims to help young people aged 15-30 to find employment, gain work experience, or acquire marketable skills.
The other pillar of the EDIOP Plus, titled “Expanding and Developing Labour Supply,” supports individuals aged 30-64 in gaining employment, work experience, or marketable skills. This is aimed at those who are currently unemployed and have registered as job seekers or service applicants at the employment office responsible for their place of residence or stay.
The EDIOP Plus programs assist in achieving the government’s goal of reaching an 85 percent employment rate when it comes to group aged 20-64 by 2030. Since its launch in mid-April, the “Youth Guarantee Plus” program has already involved 11,000 young people, of whom 7,000 have already received the support. The “Expansion and Development of the Labor Supply” program started on May 16, and in it, more than 6,000 job seekers and inactive individuals aged 30-64 have already received some form of support, and 75,000 employees have been involved in some form of training.
In Somogy County, under the “Youth Guarantee Plus” program, 430 applications have been received so far, out of which support was granted in 310 cases, amounting to nearly HUF 322 million. In the “Expansion and Development of Labor Supply” program, out of 464 incoming applications, 323 were positively evaluated, amounting to HUF 331 million.
