For a smaller community like Kozármisleny, every development that improves the quality of life for local residents is a source of pride and joy. The expansion of the Janikovszky Éva Nursery and Kindergarten is one such milestone: thanks to European Union funding, the institution has increased its capacity and acquired modern equipment.
For the youngest children, it is particularly important to have opportunities for early socialization, building relationships, and learning from both their peers and caregivers. Every parent finds it reassuring when the nursery their child attends provides a truly welcoming and nurturing environment. This sense of trust and calm also makes returning to work much easier.
Previously, the Kozármisleny nursery could accommodate 42 children, but the project has added 14 new places. As part of the development, four fully accessible classrooms were created, equipped with modern furnishings and toys, allowing children to spend their days in a high-quality environment full of stimuli and experiences.
The investment also included the installation of new, safe outdoor play equipment that supports children’s physical development and joyful play. Sufficient parking spaces, including accessible spots, were added to make drop-offs and pick-ups easier for parents.
As a result of this development, Kozármisleny now has an institution that will support families in their daily lives for years to come and strengthen the town’s ability to retain its residents.
The development was implemented from EU funding in the project TOP-1.4.1-19-BA1-2019-00005 under the Territorial and Settlement Development Operational Programme.
