Nearly HUF 7 billion allocated for educational developments in Bács-Kiskun County

2025. 04. 24.

Twenty-three municipalities in Bács-Kiskun County have received support from the Territorial and Settlement Development Operational Programme Plus (TSDOP Plus), co-financed by the European Union and the Hungarian state.

The operations of strategic importance (OSI) for the 2021-2027 programming period, commonly known as the “Pillars,” aim to provide greater visibility for EU support, showcasing the results achieved to citizens on a broader scale. One of the priorities of the TSDOP Plus programme is the “Caring County,” with one of its key initiatives being the “Development of Public Education Infrastructure.” The goal is to support the creation of modern educational and learning environments, energy efficiency upgrades, and accessibility improvements in public education institutions.

In addition to the previously approved locations in Imrehegy, Kömpöc, Kiskunhalas, and Harta, schools are also being renovated in Kalocsa, Kerekegyház, Dávod, Kiskőrös, Bácsalmás, and Dunapataj, among others. In total, nearly HUF 6.9 billion will be allocated to educational investments across 23 municipalities. The goal of these developments is consistent in each municipality: to create modern, sustainable, and inspiring learning environments for students, thereby contributing to the further improvement of the quality of education in the county.
