Robots and solar panels: B&O Ltd. takes things to the next level

2026. 02. 11.

Anyone who thinks industrial automation is boring has clearly never visited B&O Ltd. in Komárom. With the help of EU funding, the company has completed a major development project that has made robots a natural part of everyday work.

Specialising in automation and robotics, B&O Ltd. employs more than forty professionals and delivers efficient solutions to industrial challenges—not only for the Hungarian market, but across Europe as well. Yet no successful company can afford to stand still. Continuous development and renewal are essential to staying competitive.

As part of the EU-funded investment, the company comprehensively modernised its IT infrastructure and introduced advanced logistics and warehouse automation systems at its Komárom production site, including the use of robotic technologies. Equal emphasis was placed on employee training—because even the smartest machines are only effective if people know how to operate them. The results speak for themselves: faster response times, smarter use of resources, and an even stronger position in both domestic and international markets.

Looking to the future also means thinking sustainably. As part of the project, B&O Ltd. installed a solar power system that reduces the facility’s energy consumption and significantly lowers its environmental footprint.

In the long term, the investment has created a solid foundation for the company’s growth while also strengthening the economic potential of Komárom.

The development was implemented from EU funding in the project GINOP-1.2.16-22-2023-00686 under the Economic Development and Innovation Operational Programme Plus.
