The Nyíregyháza Vocational Training Center promotes learning modern and profitable skills, as well gaining qualifications, when it comes to students. This is supported with the Economic Development and Innovation Operational Programme. The project has operated at center level, as well as in ten other member schools, and the so-called Digital Community Creative Workshop was also formed, which shows to people of all ages that technology belongs to everyone and anyone is capable of creating working objects.
Within the framework of the project called Comprehensive Development of the Nyíregyháza Vocational Training Center, it has become a home for venues such as teacher trainings, corporate trainings and career guidance programs, where people with similar interests can create vibrant professional communities. A 3D printer, robotic arm, embroidery machine and laser cutter are available and almost any other tools as well to achieve goals. The workshop introduces you to the world of creators, electronics construction, programming, sewing, or wood and metalworking. Participants hardly realise that they are developing skills such as teamwork or debugging that they can utilise in their day-to-day work.
During the implementation period, drug abuse prevention lectures, harassment and school bullying awareness sessions were organized. The project also contributed to the accreditation of the Project-based knowledge transfer with LEGO robots at the University of Nyíregyháza.
The development resulted in the improvement of 48 competency-based curricula and methodologies. About four hundred students took part in the skills development groups, and nearly a thousand professionals obtained qualifications or certificates in the training on the use of curricula.
The development was implemented from EU funding in the project GINOP-6.2.3-17-2017-00017 under Economic Development and Innovation Operational Programme.
