The Territorial and Settlement Development Operational Programme Plus (TSDOP Plus) supports the objectives of the Caring County thematic area with more than HUF 517 billion. The regional development program for the 2021-27 development period focuses on six key areas. One of the primary focuses of Caring County is supporting children, pregnant women, women, youth, people with disabilities, the elderly, and other disadvantaged, vulnerable groups and strengthening community services. The objective of local health, nursery, public education, and social developments is to ensure that municipalities and regions can provide adequate quality public services for all residents.
The Caring County is continuing the successful developments of the 2014-20 Territorial and Settlement Development Operational Program. The previous program involved the establishment and renewal of more than 800 basic social services and the development of more than 2100 healthcare services providing primary care. The number of newly built or renovated clinics increased by 1,640, and nearly 48,000 people found employment through the employment pacts.
Approximately 3 million people participated in local social actions, while social urban rehabilitation programs reached over 52,000 disadvantaged residents.
Nearly 13,500 nurseries and more than 60,000 kindergartens have been modernized in the municipalities. At the same time, the number of new nursery places is now more than 10,000, and more than 2,000 new places have been created in kindergartens.
The goal is for more than 35,000 unemployed individuals to participate in the Caring County thematic area during the 2021-27 period, to involve more than 43,000 people in employment-promoting services, and to implement more than a thousand projects targeting disadvantaged groups. The objective is to further increase the number of places available for children under three years of age.
The goal is a total expansion of at least 932 places and increasing the number of places available for children aged 3-6 by nearly 750. In the case of health care services, the goal is to achieve more than 500 developments, which will affect general practitioner services, pediatric services, dental services, nursing services, related emergency care, and school health services. In addition, more than 250 planned developments will create or renew basic social services and child welfare services. The classroom capacity of the new or modernized educational facilities will exceed 26,000, and nearly 250 public educational institutions, including six dormitories, will be modernized.
The total funding framework of TSDOP Plus is nearly HUF 2000 billion, with 83% of the framework being EU and 17% being domestic funding.
