The power of personal connections: job fair in Kecskemét

2025. 10. 21.

For the 29th consecutive year, the traditional autumn Job Fair organized by The District Office of Kecskemét’s Employment Department has helped job seekers and employers connect with one another.

On Friday, September 26, the venue was buzzing with activity as job seekers, students, recent graduates, and experienced professionals all came to explore new career opportunities.

The event was held as part of the GINOP_Plus-3.1.1-23 “Expanding and Developing the Labour Supply” program, co-financed by the European Union, with a national budget of more than HUF 78 billion. As a key pillar project, it contributes to achieving the objectives set under the Economic Development and Innovation Operational Programme Plus Sustainable Labour Market Priority, supporting job placement and skills development for job seekers across the country.

A total of 23 exhibitors participated in the fair, including 21 employers and 2 training institutions, while the number of visitors exceeded 550. Companies were looking to fill around 70 different positions, offering more than 450 job opportunities across a wide range of sectors—from skilled trades to manual labor and graduate-level roles.

The Bács-Kiskun County Government Office was present not only as an organizer but also as an exhibitor, providing information on available support programs and job openings within the office. The Kecskemét Vocational Training Center and John von Neumann University informed visitors about adult education and training opportunities.

Among the employers, representatives from the metalworking, machinery, automotive, electronics, and food industries were present, alongside the defense and law enforcement sectors.

Once again, the Kecskemét Job Fair proved that personal meetings and direct dialogue remain the most effective way to bridge the gap between labor market demand and supply.
