Tracking from dispatch to delivery

2023. 07. 14.

Due to an EU-funded development, the Hungarian Post was improved with a modern tracking function allowing customers to track the current location of their parcels and letters.

Hungarian Post has modernised its classic letter mail services, improving customer convenience and providing new opportunities for senders and recipients using electronic channels. The modernisation of the postal service not only meant a complete reorganisation and renewal of the registration processes and the extension of electronic administration, but also the introduction of a tracking function, which enabled senders to independently track information about their post. Through Hungarian Post’s digital channels, the real-time status of the submitted items can be checked at any stage from despatch to delivery.

The renewed interface has now made the entire mail journey more transparent and the uncertainty caused by missing information can be eliminated. Another important result of the project is that signatures on paper are no longer required for receipt of in-hand personal delivery, but can be obtained by signing the electronic signature, thus significantly reducing paper administration.
