The comprehensive development of companies is crucial for long-term growth and success. In order to succeed in the rapidly changing market, both innovative operations and adaptation to new challenges are necessary. The development implemented by Florin Chemical and Trading Ltd. with EU support has enabled the company to modernize its production technology, thereby strengthening its domestic market position and international presence.
The Florin Chemical and Trading Ltd. was established in Szeged in 1957 and has been operating with 100% Hungarian ownership ever since. For over 60 years, they have dominated the manufacturing of modern cosmetic and household cleaning products alongside cost-effective hygiene solutions for professional users. They started with making soap and hair oil. Today, they have a wide range of products and are one of the biggest manufacturers of household and cosmetic products in the country. They keep an eye on what customers want, adapt to international trends, and successfully sell their products not only in Hungary but also in lots of other countries. For over 60 years, they have dominated the manufacturing of modern cosmetic and household cleaning products alongside cost-effective hygiene solutions for professional users.
With funding from the European Union, the company has implemented automated warehouse technology and barcode tracking systems using Industry 4.0 tools to support more efficient production, procurement, and logistics processes. The automatic material flow system means that the materials and products arriving at the site are given unique IDs. With software support, you can plan the goods’ route, optimize it, and keep track of where they’re going. We’ve also built a new warehouse that uses less energy and a solar collector system, which makes our technology even better and lets us grow our business and sell more. All these developments mean that Florin can significantly strengthen its international competitiveness, which also helps to increase the competitiveness of the Hungarian economy.
The development was implemented from EU funding in the project GINOP_PLUSZ-1.1.2-21-2022-00092 under the Economic Development and Innovation Operational Programme.
