The National Development Centre joined the Railway Day this year as well. The MÁV Group awaited visitors with colorful programs and concerts at four locations: Budapest, Pécs, Nyíregyháza and Szolnok on July 12, 2025.
The Directorate General for the Implementation of Human Resources, Integrated Transport, Environment and Energy Efficiency Development Programmes represented the National Development Centre with interactive prize games and quizzes in the Hungarian Railway History Park. The environmentally conscious experience program WCO-games, implemented in cooperation with Integrated Transport and Environmental and Energy Efficiency Operational Programmes, was particularly popular, where visitors could learn about sustainability and the importance of environmentally conscious transport in a playful way.
The event also provided an opportunity to present the results of European Union projects and the Együtt fejlődünk (Developing Together) brand that promotes them. Visitors were able to participate in an interactive quiz based on the results communication themes of the two objectives. More than 600 interested parties completed the quiz, and around 14,000 people registered for the event.
